Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Furvey ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Furvey app.

2. What we collect

We collect the following information to provide and improve our services:

  • Account information: Email address, name, language preference, country
  • Pet profiles: Pet name, species, breed, date of birth, weight, gender, microchip number, known allergies, chronic conditions
  • Health records: Vaccination records, parasite treatment history, medication schedules and dose logs, vet appointment records and attached files, weight logs, health notes and photos, symptom check history, drug interaction check history
  • Usage data: Feature usage frequency, error reports, crash logs (anonymized)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Provide the Furvey pet health management service
  • Send local notifications for vaccination and medication reminders
  • Power AI-based features (symptom analysis, drug interaction checking)
  • Improve app performance and fix errors
  • Respond to your support requests

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers using industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. All communications use HTTPS. Access to your data is restricted to your account only, enforced by Row Level Security (RLS) policies in our database.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. We may collect anonymized, non-identifiable usage analytics to improve the app. This data is not linked to your personal identity.

While we implement strong security measures, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your credentials private.

Payment processing is handled entirely by the Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card information.

5. Third-party services

Furvey uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
  • Anthropic — powers AI symptom analysis and drug interaction features
  • RevenueCat — manages subscription purchases and entitlements
  • Google — optional sign-in via Google OAuth
  • Apple — sign-in with Apple and payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (account confirmation, password reset)
  • OpenWeatherMap — weather data for care tips based on your location

When you use AI features, your input (symptom descriptions, medication names) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Your name, email address, and pet ID are never shared with Anthropic.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data at any time within the app
  • Export your data by contacting us at furveyapp@gmail.com
  • Delete your account and all associated data (Profile → Delete Account)
  • Correct any inaccurate information within the app

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data, pet profiles, health records, and associated files are permanently deleted within 30 days. Health records may be retained for up to 7 years where required by applicable law. Anonymized, non-identifiable usage data may be retained for up to 12 months for service improvement purposes.

8. Data portability

You may request an export of all your data by emailing furveyapp@gmail.com. We will provide your data in a machine-readable format within 30 days.

9. GDPR — rights for EU users

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:

  • The right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data
  • The right to restrict or object to processing
  • The right to data portability
  • The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority

We process your data based on your consent and the necessity to provide the service you requested. You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account or contacting us at furveyapp@gmail.com.

10. Children's privacy

Furvey is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at furveyapp@gmail.com and we will delete the information promptly.

11. How to delete your account

You can delete your account at any time by going to Profile → scroll to bottom → tap "Delete Account." All your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes at least 14 days in advance via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
